A couple of weeks ago the family was going out for Sunday dinner. It has been a long time. The last time the entire family ate out was late last year when my mom, baby boy’s grandmother, had a good day at the casino and decided to share a piece of her fortune. The fact that she had a coupon to one of her favorite restaurants and it was about to expire was a big factor as well. So it had been a while and we were long overdue. The problem was all of us wouldn’t fit in a single car. The baby’s high dollar car seat with its luxury upholstery and its own roll bar and safety features took up half the car’s back seat and there were four adults. We had no choice but to take two cars. We knew this day was coming. If we wanted to move as a complete family unit and save gas in the process then the minivan needed to bubble up to the top of the priority list.

The car manufacturer, Chrysler, has been around for a long time. The first Chrysler 300 models were made during the period of 1955 and 1971 ­ the earlier models, being muscle machines, were generally quite pricey.

The Chrysler 300C is a big car and Chrysler does nothing to hide this fact in its design. But to move this 1.8 tonne vehicle, you need an engine with some power. None of the engines in the Chrysler line-up should disappoint. According to one's tastes, the range of engines increase in power output the larger their capacity. The Chrysler 300C comes in a 5.7 V8 saloon/estate form, a 3.5 V6 saloon or a 3.0 diesel V6 estate. All are very smooth units and even the diesel is responsive to throttle demands. But if out and out power is what you are after, the V8 is the motor to go for. The Chrysler 300C 5.7 V8 packs 250kW at 5000rpm and has a massive torque figure of 525 Nm at 4000 rpm. It's easy to attain 155mph, where appropriate, and a 6.4 second 0-62 mph time means that your destination is not too far away. However, leading the charge is the Chrysler 300C SRT8. The V8 power house is super strong delivering endless power at any speed. The engine has so much usable torque that passing slower traffic is very quick and safe. All power plants are attached to automatic transmissions that make for very relaxed and responsive motoring.

Like other race teams, Prodrive sells its race cars after giving them up from the competition. Either to other competitive teams for another racing event, and some will go to avid race car fans that are willing to collect such fine beauties.

Now that Prodrive has a handful of their own creation which is now in the retirement phase, it is only time for them to find their new home. To help with this plan, Prodrive is now providing a listing program on their own website for sellers.

Featuring on their latest listing is the very first Subaru Impreza WRX that was engineered with the World Rally Championship regulations that was implemented in 1997. The race track-famous car was revved up by the legends in the WRC: Colin McRae, Kenneth Erikkson and Pierro Liatti. The sleek facade and its awesome function have been carefully preserved. It is also painted on its livery of 1997 Rally Finland. The Impreza is being offered with the price of roughly $122,000.

In toting up the collection, there are seven more Subaru World Rally Team cars and 18 cars from the Prodrive Subaru Group that are now for sale.
